The MLB trade deadline is here and so is an overwhelming amount of news and rumors concerning where players could find new homes.

One man who can not seem to keep his name out of the headlines is Philadelphia Phillies star Michael Young. He has been connected to the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers, but a no-trade clause is preventing him from being dealt.

Except it sounds like Young would waive the no-trade clause to play for the New York Yankees. Mark Feinsand has the report on Twitter:

When we talk about teams not having the ammunition to pull a deal off, we certainly are not talking the Yankees. If New York wanted to swoop in and become even better by adding Young, they will do what it takes to pull a deal off.

We have heard all kinds of speculation about Young and his trade clause, but this is a new one. Young with the Yankees would be a scary thought for all.

Stay tuned.
