So Sports Illustrated’s very own Peter King observed Buffalo Bills practice on Monday and said E.J. Manuel to be more “comfortable, confident, strong-armed and accurate.”

King would be surprised if Kevin Kolb is able to hold Manuel off for very long, if at all. King also expects head coach Doug Marrone’s offense to be fun and fast.

E.J. Manuel stands at 6’5, weighing in at 237 pounds, is a very talented athlete. It’s no surprise that Manuel is turning heads in practice. It’s the games that will be a challenge, to see him in action against other defenses and how he reacts in certain situations. He is a smart quarterback, who has the awareness to check his receivers down field, or has the speed to get away if the pocket happens to collapse on him.

It will be interesting to see who emerges as the starting quarterback for this Buffalo Bills team. A team that is desperately in need of a leader, as it may seem like Kolb could be that leader.
