Now I’ve been covering this Carolina Panthers/offensive line exchange all day.

First the Carolina Panthers release Geoff Hangartner deal, then the Jordan Gross story about him being uncertain about his future.

Now Steve Reed tweeted out that Garry Williams ran with the Carolina Panthers 1st team as the right guard. Hangartner was presumed to be the favorite to open the season as the starting right guard, but as I posted earlier, the Panthers released him this morning.

Williams who turns 27 later on this month, started 9 games between right tackle/guard last season and finished the year strong.

As things in Carolina continue to bounce back and forth, Garry Williams is the Carolina Panthers starting right guard, but for how long?

Hard to tell with the way things are going with this offensive line. They are trying to improve, but cut one of their strongest offensive guards in Hangartner.

I wouldn’t be surprised if more moves regarding this offensive line is announced within the next week or so.
