LeBron James has done a lot of impressive things in his NBA career to date. He may not be the most popular player around after a certain decision, but he has still won two championships already after forming a historic trio with the Miami Heat.

You may be able to add “president” to his list of accomplishments soon.

According to Jason Whitlock of Fox Sports, James is considering becoming president of the NBPA:

"LeBron James, the game’s best and most popular player, is mulling a bid for the union’s presidency.“It’s something he has talked about with a small group of people,” a source with close ties to James told FOXSports.com on Wednesday. “He was very vocal at the meeting during the All-Star Weekend about the need for the union to dramatically change. There is a new executive director coming in and new commissioner. He recognizes that this is the time for the union to change.”"

The source does go on to caution that it may not happen, but it’s an exciting thought nonetheless. The NBA has never seen a player in his prime take over the presidency, not to mention a player of LeBron’s caliber.

LeBron has plenty on his plate, but we have no doubts he could make a positive impact on the union should he consider to take the position and make some changes. It will not be the most popular move in the world given the general disdain for LeBron, but it’ll be a good move nonetheless—everyone’s already talking about it.
