The New York Knicks do not have a lot to work with in terms of finances anymore outside of a veterans minimum. The team has been linked to a variety of point guards including Mo Williams, but could the team shock and sign a big man instead?

Recent reports say the Knicks also have an interest in bringing on a big man for depth purposes. It just so happens a veteran big man by the name of Lamar Odom is still unemployed and not in a position to be asking for more than a minimum deal.

Jared Zwerling of ESPNNewYork.com suggests via Twitter that the Knicks and Odom are a very good fit:

Adding Odom to the mix down low would make some sense for the Knicks. Odom does not have much left to offer, but at this point the Knicks simply need an extra body coming off the bench before reloading with talent next offseason when some cap should free up.

The Knicks have a tough decision to make between grabbing a guard or big man, but Odom certainly is not a bad way to go if the choose the latter.
