We all know what happened with Ryan Braun, he was suspended by Major League Baseball for performance enhancing drug use for the entire year without pay.

Now that he is out around $3.5 million from the league, Nike has added Ryan Braun to their list of athletes that they have cut ties with according to TMZ.

The suspended Brewers outfielder has been wearing Nike shoes, batting gloves his entire seven year career. Nike recently began selling “Big Bat Like Braun” and “Braun Owns Milwaukee” t-shirts in stores. Last season Braun was apart of that infamous  2012 situation, where results from a urine test showed that Braun tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.

Of course, Braun fought a 50 game suspension and won the case, becoming the first baseball player in history to have a suspension overturned by grievance. With Braun running out of sponsors to help fatten his pockets and what not, I’m sure there is someone out there who will sign Braun to be a face of their company.

Nike is a big business and I’m sure the money he was getting from them was a lot, so something like this has to hurt him.

Or you never know, Braun could be back with Nike again sometime in the future. I mean, they re-signed Michael Vick in 2009 after he was sent to prison for doing what he did when he was apart of the Atlanta Falcons organization.
