According to Fox Sports reporter Mike Garafolo, the San Francisco 49ers and wide-receiver Austin Collie have agree’d to a deal.

The former Indianapolis Colts has a history of being injured. Having multiple concussions and rupturing his patella tendon last season, he’s looking for a fresh start and hopefully a clean bill of health in San Francisco.

The 49ers essentially have nothing beyond Anquan Boldin at wide-receiver at the moment and if Collie manages to stay off the shelf, he should be able to win a starting job with this team.

In other San Francisco 49ers news, they have agree’d to terms with another wide-receiving, being former New England Patriots Lavelle Hawkins according to Ben Volin on Twitter.

The 27 year old was cut loose by a wide-receiver needy Patriots team early on in training camp, which tells you all you need to know about his abilities. He could more than likely be just a training camp body due to several injuries to their wide receivers.
