Second year wide receiver out of South Carolina, Alshon Jeffery had some decent games for the Chicago Bears before breaking his hand against Jacksonville, then having to undergo knee surgery later on.

Coming into this year, Jeffery is looking to stay healthy and wanting to help out more in this offense. He is primarily lining up at Z receiver, with Brandon Marshall being a movable X and Martellus Bennett lined up in the slot.

Earl Bennett is a situational slot receiving, lining up on the other side of the other Bennett, Martellus. This season his targets may be limited, as Matt Forte is to be used more in the passing game. Forte is one of the best receiving backs in the league and should be getting more receptions this season.

If Jay Cutler gets the protection he needs, instead of having to rush to make a play, he has plenty of options to throw too, knowing teams will be focused on Brandon Marshall. With eyes on Marshall, this should open up Jeffery, or Martellus/Earl Bennett.

Chicago lost Johnny Knox who retired and Devin Hester who is now return man only.

Chicago will travel to play the Carolina Panthers.
