HBO’s Hard Knocks premiered on Tuesday, which featured the Cincinnati Bengals for this season.

Bernard showcased his speed and agility during Tuesday’s episode, cutting the field on a dime, I mean until he tried to get “swoll” on a safety and ended up getting pancaked.

Anyways, the kid has a lot of speed and talent and if he can avoid hits like the ones he took on Tuesday’s episode, all should be well for this Cincinnati Bengals offense. An offense and team that I am very very excited about this season.

Now, the idea could be that BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Giovanni Bernard could be sharing carries 50-50 this season. Which could balance out the running game, instead of teams getting a look at one specific guy, it could allow Bernard to get some second down carries, allowing Green-Ellis to pound the ball on 1st down or short yardage on 3rd down.

When it comes to the passing game, Bernard should get more of those touches, as he displayed excellent hands at North Carolina and on Tuesday’s episode of Hard Knocks.

He could get about 10 carries a game, with a couple receptions.

Either way, I’m still excited about this team, even though they open up the season against my Chicago Bears.
