The authorities are ramping up their investigation and doing everything they can to locate the murder weapon used to kill 27-year-old Odin Lloyd in June. While former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is currently behind bars waiting to see if he will be indicted on murder charges, his fiance, Shayanna Jenkins, could soon be joining him.

Jenkins is not believed to be directly involved with the murder, but she could be facing obstruction of justice charges after police reportedly believe that she attempted to hide evidence and mislead investigators.

According to Jenny Wilson of the Hartford Courant, this all came up in relation to a storage unit in her name.

Reports show that Jenkins left the home of Aaron Hernandez after the murder with a “rigid object” in a garbage bag. She returned home less than an hour later with the object no longer in sight. There were also cryptic text messages between Hernandez and Jenkins about a box in the basement.

When you consider that Carlos Ortiz told police officers that Hernandez placed two guns in a box after murdering Lloyd, that could be the smoking gun that investigators are looking for.

All they need to do is locate that box.

If Jenkins did transport the box to a different location, she needs to speak up and cooperate before she faces charges of her own.
