Chris Ivory returns to New York Jets camp
By Josh Sanchez
The New York Jets received an encouraging sign during Sunday’s practice when running back Chris Ivory was able to participate in team drills. While it is just the first step of many that Ivory will need to take on his return from a hamstring injury, it is positive for the team to see him one step closer to a return to team drills and ultimately game action.
From Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News:
If Ivory continues to improve at this pace, we can expect to see him suit up for the team in their next preseason outing against the Jacksonville Jaguars — even if it is in a limited role.
Ivory is going to be very important to the team’s rushing offense and he will likely carry the load and generate a bulk of their offensive production, so it will be crucial to get him healthy and on the field as soon as possible.
