Dallas Cowboys WR Cole Beasley diagnosed with foot sprain
By Josh Sanchez
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley has often been a favorite of the coaching staff and fans during training camp and the preseason, but he could miss some time after being diagnosed with a foot sprain following Friday’s preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.
Beasley was spotted in a walking boot after the game with “some bone bruising” to go along with the foot sprain, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The bad news for Beasley is that an extended absence from the line up could lead to him falling down the depth chart and eventually on to the roster bubble as the team is forced to make some decisions once roster cuts must be made.
Beasley has been a hard worker and a player that has flashed some moments of brilliance, but the team cannot afford to carry unhealthy players in to the season.
There is currently no timetable for Beasley’s return, but you know he will be pushing to get back on the field as soon as possible.
