That brush of air you felt was the collective sigh of relief let out by Kansas City Chief fans across the country.

After meeting with multiple doctors, starting running back Jamaal Charles was deemed “day to day”, a far cry from the reported “worry” suggested by NFL insider Adam Schefter yesterday afternoon.

Charles, in addition to meeting with team doctors, also met with multiple orthopedic doctors who deemed the injury non-significant.

Per Dave Skretta:

"Jamaal Charles has been seen by two orthopedics, everything checked out OK with foot. He’s listed day to day."

The Chiefs, not wanting to press their luck have given Charles an off day though he may see action as soon as Wednesday, depending how he feels. A more likely scenario would be Charles sitting out a few more days though and possibly Friday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Charles’ official injury is listed as a mild foot strain and playing on it is simply a matter of personal pain tolerance.
