New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham struggled last season with dropped passes, 15 overall. This training camp he is struggling with the same issue. The New Orleans Times-Picayune even put Graham in their “who’s not hot” section of Monday camp observations.

From New Orleans Times-Picayune:

"The Saints’ tight end has continued to struggle with occasional dropped balls during training camp — a problem that plagued him last season. Graham dropped two passes Monday, one in team drills and one in 7-on-7 (though one could have been considered a pass break up).Graham later bobbled a pass but hung on to make the catch in tight traffic for a third-down conversion during team red-zone drills. Physically, Graham has looked very good this summer, and I’m still expecting a monster year from him. But he needs to make sure the drops don’t become a habit."

Jimmy Graham finished last season as the #1 tight end, according to Rotoworld, in a down year and there is no reason to believe he’ll fall short this season, drops or not. He could still be the #1 tight end available in fantasy drafts, especially with Rob Gronkowski missing the first part of the season.

He could return to the 2011 form that saw him haul in 99 passes for 1,310 yards and 11 touchdowns now that there is stability again in the Saints organization.
