ESPN is at Notre Dame visiting with the football team as they prepare for the upcoming 2013 season and try again to run the table in hopes of landing a second consecutive BCS National Championship game appearance. ESPN had a mic on Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly for their “Wired” special when a great moment was captured.

In the video Brian Kelly is explaining a drill, and how he wants it done: “through, finish on the other side.”

Simple enough right? So Notre Dame running back Cam McDaniel, ball in hand, runs towards the machine and then bounces off.

“Oh, you got it back… you know…you guys are freaking kidding me!” Kelly exclaims.

McDaniel seems to be alright despite taking a pretty solid shot to the ribs from the machine. It looks like Kelly finds it humorous but is trying to hold on to his composure and tough coach facade.

It is pretty funny, but only because McDaniel didn’t suffer any actual injury on the practice mishap.
