The NFL preseason is used to prepare players for the upcoming regular season and make sure that teams are firing on all cylinders, but from time to time disaster will strike. During the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks game on the NFL Network, defensive lineman Derek Wolfe went down with a very scary injury.

Wolfe was blocked by Seahawks tight end Luke Willson and as he was working to get up he was hit directly in the head and laid on the field.

An ambulance was brought on to the field and Wolfe was strapped down and taken immediately to the hospital. The good news is that reports indicate Wolfe has feeling in all of his extremeties, but he is  under evaluation for a cervical spine injury.

No more information is available at this time.

It is obviously a very scary situation that we will continue to monitor.

We wish all of the best to Derek Wolfe and hope that he is not seriously injured.
