Tampa Bay Buccaneers star running back Doug Martin left last night’s preseason game against after taking a knee to the head. He eventually made his way to the locker room under his own power, but there was no real update on his injury.

The belief was that Martin may have suffered a concussion because of the hit.

However, after being evaluated by the team doctors, it appears that Martin was able to successfully pass the concussion test.

“It was just a tough play,” Martin said, via Stephen Holder of the Tampa Bay Times. “Things happen.”

It looks like the Buccaneers just witnessed their best offensive player go down after a big hit so they wanted to take precautionary steps to prevent any injury from occurring. Either that or they are not very forthcoming with their injuries and what exactly went down.
