Oakland Raiders fear Tracy Porter suffered severe groin injury
By Josh Sanchez
The Oakland Raiders already had one of the worst starting line ups in the league heading in to the preseason and it is continuing to get worse. After an injury that forces to team to lose their only respectable offensive lineman, Jared Veldheer, for the bulk of the season, cornerback Tracy Porter went down during the team’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.
According to the buzz after the game, the Raiders are fearing that Porter has suffered a severe groin injury.
Porter was slated to be one of the team’s top three cornerbacks going in to the season, so his injury delivers another devastating blow to their depth.
If Porter is forced to miss a majority of the season, that leaves the Raiders relying on Taiwan Jones and Joselio Hanson to step up and give them some valuable reps.
It is a long season where plenty can happen in the NFL, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Raiders fan base to start pre-ordering their Jadeveon Clowney jerseys early.
