Oakland Raiders fear Tracy Porter suffered severe groin injury

The Oakland Raiders already had one of the worst starting line ups in the league heading in to the preseason and it is continuing to get worse. After an injury that forces to team to lose their only respectable offensive lineman, Jared Veldheer, for the bulk of the season, cornerback Tracy Porter went down during the team’s preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.

According to the buzz after the game, the Raiders are fearing that Porter has suffered a severe groin injury.

Porter was slated to be one of the team’s top three cornerbacks going in to the season, so his injury delivers another devastating blow to their depth.

If Porter is forced to miss a majority of the season, that leaves the Raiders relying on Taiwan Jones and Joselio Hanson to step up and give them some valuable reps.

It is a long season where plenty can happen in the NFL, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Raiders fan base to start pre-ordering their Jadeveon Clowney jerseys early.

Why do you writers keep saying the Raiders have one of the worst starting lineups in the NFL. Are you guys all Bias. Once in a while I’ll read an article about somebody who actually knows football and can see the abundance of talent on the team, but most of the people are just bias ESPN cloned raider haters. The Raiders are way more stacked this year then they were last year and even last year they won one quarter of all their games.

They have way more depth than they did last year too. Next man up will deliver and they will make the adjustments needed to compete this season. Injuries are Inevitable, it happens with every team. it’s all about how they face their adversity and they have a great coaching staff and a good team. they may not make the playoffs this year due to their tough schedule but believe me they will not finish last. Everyone thought they would finished last in 2012 and as horrible of a team and the salary-cap issues they still had two teams beneath them. They’re 1-1. They just beat Tony Romo. Man I’m so tired of these negative articles. They lose to Drew Brees because they had four starting defensive lineman missing and breez did what he would have done to any team out there if they were missing most of their starting lineup
