Piers Morgan is a huge Arsenal supporter. So like most people, he eagerly watched the opening of the English Premier League and Aresneal’s match up against one of the league’s lesser teams, Aston Villa. Arsenal got off to a great start behind an Olivier Giroud goal in the sixth minute.
Severe food poisoning in the night... suspect it's my usual condition, Deteriorating Wenger-No-Spenderitis. #afc

BOOOOM!!!!! 1-0. Excellent finish by #Giroud - feeling marginally less nauseous. #afc

It looked like Arsenal was going to run away with it. Then however, Arsenal gave Aston Villa a penalty kick after a foul.
Vomit-making. Literally, in my case. #afc #penalty

While the kick was intially saved, Christian Benteke headed in the rebound to tie the game up. That was the start of the downfall for Arsenal and Piers Morgan.
This Arsenal team will be lucky to come 6th, based on this performance. Just the harsh, obvious reality. #afc

He then pondered potential transfers devastated at the thought of a draw.
Bring on Rooney, Suarez, Higuain, Fellaini, Gustavo... oh wait, we didn't sign anyone did we? What a farce this is. #Arsenal

Things then got worse for Arsenal and Morgan when they gave Aston Villa a second penalty kick from a foul inside the box.
Pathetic penalty decision. Koscielny clearly got the ball. #afc
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
And now a red card for Koscielny, who should never have been booked the first time. Hideous refereeing. #afc
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Benteke converted the kick to give Aston Villa a 2-1 lead and Arsenal would play the rest of the game a man down.
Chickens. Coming. Home. To. Roost. #Arsenal #Wenger #NoSignings
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Wenger will blame everyone but himself today - when it's HIM who has brought Arsenal to this shocking state of mediocrity.#afc
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Maybe getting stuffed at home today will force Wenger to buy big before the window closes. #Arsenal #NecessaryEvil
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Remember, it was this week last summer that Wenger/Gazidis sold Van Pursestrings to United, so they could win the League. #Disgusting #afc
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
God, this is so bloody depressing. #Arsenal
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Unfortunately for Morgan Aston Villa wasn’t done. Aston Villa got a third goal in the 85th minute from Antonio Luna.
Humiliating. #Arsenal
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Here's the only transfer business I now want: WENGER OUT. #Arsenal
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Highest paid manager, highest ticket prices - no signings, no hope. Enough. #WENGEROUT
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Aston Villa came 15th last season. And they're thrashing us 3-1 at home. Enough. #WENGEROUT
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
Zero sympathy for Wenger - he's had months to prepare for this season, and done nothing. Outrageously bad management. #WENGEROUT #Arsenal
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) August 17, 2013
And to all those deluded #Arsenal fans still refusing to accept Wenger's the problem: WAKE. UP.
