The Denver Broncos played in Seattle against the Seahawks in one of the more entertaining games of the NFL preseason so far, but the injuries suffered put a damper on the excitement in the stadium. The injury that everyone is talking about was to Broncos defensive lineman who was strapped down to a stretcher and taken off the field in an ambulance, but all signs point towards a full recovery after all tests came back negative.

For starting defensive back Champ Bailey, however, the news may not be as good.

Bailey was seen leaving the stadium after the game on crutches with a boot on his left foot. The good news is that x-rays were negative, but Bailey said that he felt a strain in the bottom of his foot during the game.

I wish I could describe it,” Bailey said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post. “We’ll see.”

Bailey will now go in for an MRI on Sunday to determine whether any other damage was done.

The Broncos are hoping that Bailey avoided the always dreaded Lisfranc injury, which would cause him to miss some significant time. We should get another official injury update later today.
