Victor Cruz is the poster child for any NFL player who doesn’t get drafted, yet hopes to one day become an impact player in the league. Cruz went undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft and was signed the day after the draft by the New York Giants.

Already has Cruz broken multiple team records, including the most receiving yards in a single season with 1,536 (2011), and tied  the NFL all-time longest touchdown reception of 99 yards (12/24/11 vs Jets).

But tonight, Cruz suffered what appears to be a serious foot injury:

If this injury is serious, it came just in time for Cruz, who this past offseason, signed his one-year, $2.879 million restricted free agent tender, and just over a few weeks ago, Cruz signed a five year, $45.879 million total, contract extension, which makes it a 6-year deal if you include the free agent tender.
