Listen up fantasy players and fellow NFC foes – San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis has come to play, at least, that’s the thought from CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco.

The 49ers insider described the chemistry between quarterback Colin Kaepernick and tight end Vernon Davis as “seemingly unstoppable”.

Per CSN Bay Area:

"There were plenty of other plays that stood out on the practice field, but the Kaepernick-to-Davis connection was seemingly unstoppable.“Last year when he first got the starting job, we’d be at practice and he’d keep overthrowing me. I’d be running as fast as I possibly could and Colin just kept overthrowing me,” Davis said. “Now we get out there and it’s night and day. He puts the ball right there. Man, he’s come a long way. I’m very impressed.”"

Davis was a favorite target (more like security blanket) of now departed quarterback Alex Smith, but the talented tight end struggled at times to connect with Kaepernick who seemed to use his wheels and deep outlets more than dump off passes.

However, the two appear to be on the right page this year which should set up both for impressive seasons.
