I remember as a kid, it wasn’t Michael Jordan who inspired me to watch basketball. It wasn’t Patrick Ewing or Larry Bird. It was Grant Hill and Penny Hardaway.

Unfortunately, both Hardaway and Hill had their superstar talents taken away from them at an early age due to injury but both, including Hill continued to play at a relatively high level.

Hill was able to sustain his career a bit longer than Hardaway and continued to do so until this past June where Grant announced his retirement from professional basketball.

But basketball wasn’t his only love.

Hill has always been an accomplished pianist and has often gone on tour with wife Tamia playing piano during her set. Hill’s piano skills have also been featured on a handful of studio albums, so it shouldn’t come as much of a shock to see the former co-NBA Rookie of the Year award winner busting out his skills with Tamia recently, covering the popular Frank Ocean song, ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’.
