Jay Cutler says Alshon Jeffery has had the best camp out of everybody on offense
By David Miniel
The Chicago Bears are slowly but surely getting things going when it comes to their offensive play. They started off slow against the Carolina Panthers as Cutler threw an interception in their first offensive possession of the pre-season. The interception actually occurred when Cutler was targeting Alshon Jeffery who looked like he messed up his route.
None the less, starting quarterback Jay Cutler believes in the second year wide receiver out of South Carolina. Cutler was defending himself against the notion that he throws to Brandon Marshall too much, he responded by talking up Jeffery.
"“He’s done a great job this offeseason of getting better, getting physically stronger and gaining my trust. I love throwing to him.” Cutler told ESPN Chicago"
So far this pre-season Cutler has targeted Jeffery twice through 26 offensive snaps. So come Friday when the Chicago Bears travel to California to take on the Oakland Raiders, these two should connect more or at least try as the first string offense should play the entire first half.
