Thursday night officially kicks off the third week of the preseason, which is when starters get to see their most extensive playing time. In the first of two games tonight, the New England Patriots go on the road to take on the Detroit Lions in a match up at Ford Field.
Not only will this be a great chance for the teams to get a good look at their first-team units for nearly a full half, but it is one of the last chances teams will get to evaluate the players in danger of missing the cut for the final 53-man roster.
