New England Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow did not see any reps in Thursday night’s preseason game against the Detroit Lions. New England was destroyed in the game by a score of 40-9 and their offense could not get anything rolling, but that was still not enough to get Tebow on the field.

After the game, Tebow was asked if he was upset about not receiving any playing time in the preseason game and he took the high road like you would expect.

“I’m a blessed individual,” Tebow said, via Ben Volin of the Boston Globe. “Happy to be here, and whatever I’m asked to do, I’m going to do.

“You just prepare, and what you are asked to do, you do it 100 percent with everything you have. You want everything to go well, but it’s not. There are going to be ups and downs. That’s what life is, and you’ve just got to handle them as best as you possibly can.”

The bad news for Tebow, however, is that Brian Hoyer didn’t receive any snaps in the team’s third preseason game just a year ago. He was released the following week.

Tebow’s chance at making the 53-man roster is in serious jeopardy.
