The Buffalo Bills front office (along with their fans) had grand expectations coming into this season.

Finally hoping to rid themselves of the Kevin Kolb experiment, E.J. Manuel was given every opportunity to win the starting quarterback job. Through the first two preseason games, that looked to be the case as Manuel was outplaying Kolb by a wide margin. However unexpected knee surgery for Manuel dethroned his starting position which was to be given to Kolb, at least until Manuel returned.

Now that might be up in the air after Kolb took a nasty knee to his head against the Washington Redskins this afternoon.

Kolb, who is suffering from concussion like symptoms will most likely miss the Bills final preseason game and potentially move, leaving the Bills in a bit of a pickle.

Hoping to find lightning in a bottle, the Bills are expected to bring in former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart for a workout this week.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

"Former Raiders, Texans and Cardinals QB Matt Leinart will be working out this week for the Buffalo Bills."
