According to ESPN New York, they don’t project veteran wide receiver Braylon Edwards to make the New York Jets final roster.

There was a time when Braylon Edwards was the go to guy for the Cleveland Browns. Ever since he’s left Cleveland, things haven’t really been the same for him as he has bounced around from team to team since then.

Right now he’s fighting to make a roster spot, when he used to have a spot already locked up. He had no worries about having another man knocking him from the No. 1 spot, but those were his Browns’ days.

Rich Cimini wrote on ESPN New York, that Edwards deserves a roster spot but is on the bubble. The 30 year old veteran has been very quiet during camp and has been missing time with a leg injury. He may not play in Saturday night’s pre-season game.

So far this pre-season he has only five receptions for 72 yards. The Jets could chose to cut Edwards within the next week or so if they want to avoid paying him a fully-guaranteed salary.
