It’s been a costly evening for the New York Giants’ secondary.

Both Jayron Hosley and Stevie Brown have been removed from the Giants’ game tonight and neither are expected to return.

Hosley wast the first of the two defensive backs to go down, apparently spraining his ankle during the first quarter. He was unable to leave the field under his own power and needed the assistance of the training staff to get him off the field.

Per Paul Schwartz:

"Hosley is OUT with ankle sprain. #nyg"

It’s possible the sprain could be of the high ankle variety which would be a relatively long term situation, though, there’s been zero confirmation of that as of  yet.

In addition to Hosley, free safety Stevie Brown fell to the turf after returning an interception. Brown was untouched when he fell, which obviously isn’t a good sign for he or the Giants. As of right now the Giants are deeming the injury a ‘sprain’ though Brown will undergo further tests after the game.
