Good news for the Green Bay Packers as both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb have returned to practice, though, both are unlikely to play in the Packers’ preseason finale this week.

Both wide receivers’ status for Week 1 was up in the air, especially Nelson, but it appears both are on track to be ready when the Packers open their season.

Cobb hasn’t played in any preseason game as he’s been dealing with a biceps injury, though, it was never deemed overly serious and the Packers, not wanting to worsen the condition preferred to play it more cautious. Nelson on the other hand had in-camp knee surgery which the Packers were extremely quiet about, releasing few to zero details. The operation was clearly somewhat minor as he’s already back at practice (though not a full participant) but anytime you go under the knife, it’s news worthy obviously.

All that said, both appear to be relatively healthy (or at least on their way) and should be fine for the Packers opening game against the San Francisco 49ers on September 8th.
