Buffalo Bills QB Jeff Tuel talks about being named starter

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Buffalo Bills have named Jeff Tuel their starting quarterback for week one of the regular season against the New England Patriots. Not veteran Kevin Kolb or first round draft pick E.J. Manuel, but Jeff Tuel.

Manuel is recovering from a knee scope and Kevin Kolb has battled injuries, more recently a concussion. Tuel was never in the open competition for the spot.

The Bills went out an acquired Matt Leinart and Thaddeus Lewis.

Jeff Tuel than addressed the opportunity.
