The New York Jets have decided to waive running back Joe McKnight.

It could’ve been along time coming after a very quiet preseason.

Joe McKnight knew he was on the bubble when he came into camp. The issues at running back gave him a shot. Chris Ivory was injured and Mike Goodson had legal trouble. McKnight had his own legal issues being arrested for unpaid tickets.

The Jets are looking for a feature back to replace Shonn Greene who signed with the Tennessee Titans. Chris Ivory is the player the Jets were hoping would be that guy.
