The Denver Broncos will host the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener. Traditionally the season opener is hosted by the defending Super Bowl Champions, in this case that would be the Baltimore Ravens. Due to conflicts with a Baltimore Orioles game scheduled that same night the game was moved to Denver instead.
After not reaching a resolution with the Orioles the season opener will be held at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium. So how does the NFL prepare for the kick of to the season? Well, by hanging a banner of the opposing team’s quarterback on the stadium.
I’m sure there are a lot of pissed off Denver Broncos fans seeing this. Dallas Cowboys fans are used to this kind thing at Cowboys Stadium where opposing fans show up in great numbers on a routine basis and their fans fail to drown them out.
This could provide extra motivation though for the Broncos heading into the game. Talk about bulletin board material.
I was skeptical that this was real and asked Todd Sutton if it was authentic. He replied “unfortunately, YES!!!”
