New York Jets sign Graham Harrell
By Josh Sanchez
The New York Jets quarterback competition continues to be the laughing stock of the NFL. With veteran Mark Sanchez and the rookie Geno Smith being involved in one of the most ridiculous battles that we have seen in recent memory, the Jets decided to make their situation even more complicated by signing former Green Bay Packers back up signal-caller Graham Harrell.
Alex Marvez of FOX Sports broke the news late Tuesday night on Twitter:
The Jets now have Sanchez, Smith, Harrell, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms on the quarterback depth chart.
With Sanchez injured, it would be most likely that Smith opens the regular season as the starting quarterback, but at this point no one would be surprised if head coach Rex Ryan makes the decision to put Harrell under center.
The Jets continue to be the laughing stock of the NFL, so let’s sit back and see how they screw this up next.
