The Detroit Lions released kicker Havard Rugland, who is more widely known by his nickname “Kickalicious” because of his YouTube tick shot video, despite the fact that he was able to show off a powerful leg throughout camp and the preseason.

While Rugland may be done in the Motor City, he could find a landing spot within the NFC North after a work out with the Green Bay Packers on Friday morning.

Kickalicious announced the work out on his Twitter account, which is not “official” by way of the Twitter blue check mark, but confirmed by ESPN reporter Kevin Seifert.

Rugland had never played American football before he joined the Lions roster this offseason, but he quickly learned how to adjust to the game after he first learned how to put on his helmet and pads.

Before joining the Lions, Rugland had previously had workouts with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns.

It looks more and more like the Norwegian born kicker could find a home in the NFL.
