With final roster cuts coming today, teams will be paying close attention to the players that are cut loose by the Seattle Seahawks. There is little doubt that Seattle is one of the deepest teams in the league which will result in plenty of capable players hitting the waiver wire.
One of the players expected to be released from the team is three-time Pro Bowl cornerback Antoine Winfield, who the team signed in free agency this offseason.
From Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports:
Hearing that the Seahawks, so deep in the secondary, will be releasing CB Antoine Winfield.

Always the chance Seattle could deal Winfield first - WSH and MIN had legit interest this offseason - but can be difficult this time of year

When Winfield was initially signed, many believed that he was a perfect fit for the Seahawks defense. However, it looks like he could be running out of gas.
We had previously heard from a man that trained with Winfield that he had lost a few steps, but we gave Winfield the benefit of the doubt. If he is unable to make the Seahawks final roster, you have to wonder if those rumors were true.
