With the final roster cuts being made around the NFL today, hundreds of players around the league will be paid a visit by the Turk as they learn their fate with the team.

Unfortunately for Cincinnati Bengals fullback John Conner, he was one of the men to get the dreaded visit and learn that he is not in the team’s future plans. The news comes from Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Inquirer.

“The Terminator,” as he is known, first joined the Bengals back in December of last year when they lost Chris Pressley to the injured reserve list.

It was believed that Conner had a good shot to beat out Orson Charles for the starting fullback job, but it appears that the coaching staff was more fond of Charles’ upside and athleticism. Charles was making the move from tight end to fullback during training camp, which was well-documented on the newest season of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

Conner now hits the open market where he will likely generate interest with his bargain contract. One team that could benefit from adding a fullback is the Dallas Cowboys.
