Oakland Raiders keep four quarterbacks and two punters, now I have seen it all; so far the raiders are the third team to keep four quarterbacks on the 53 man roster so far. In the Raiders case the quarterback position seems to be headed down the path of the Arizona Cardinals of 2012, in and out by committee.

This job was suppose to be Matt Flynn’s to lose and it looks like he has done just that, leaving the team with much uncertainty as to who will be its starting quarterback on opening day.

Flynn appears to be nursing an injury but that does not seem to be what was keeping him out of action in my opinion, his play has been really suspect and he has looked timid in the pocket.

I guess any signal caller would be timid when you have to run for your life all day because your offensive line can’t form a pocket long enough for you to throw a pass.

Terrell Pryor looks to be the starter as he is the only one with some mobility to escape with his life.

I look for this story to get more and more interesting as the season goes on, and I guess having four quarterbacks for this team is very understandable.

Raiders also keep two punters on the 53 man roster. How they will use them is to be determined by performance.
