It was considered a long shot that quarterback Brady Quinn would make the Seattle Seahawks roster and today, it was announced he did not.

Quinn was among a handful of other Seahawk causalities announced this afternoon and the former Notre Dame quarterback took a bit of time out of his day to thank the Seahawks organization for the opportunity.

Per Quinn himself:

"Want to thank the Seahawks organization, coaches, teammates and especially the fans for a great offseason. It was such a blessing to be a part of such a special group! Thank you for the opportunity and best of luck this season! God bless!"

It’s been a rough day for former Notre Dame signal callers as earlier in the day, the Carolina Panthers released former Irish quarterback Jimmy Clausen, though, he reportedly has strong interest from the Green Bay Packers and may not be out of a job long.

As for Quinn, who now leaves his fourth team in just four years, he’s hopeful to latch on elsewhere and shouldn’t have a problem finding a backup job at some point during the season.
