The Tampa Bay Rays play in the Tropicana Dome.

A dome is an enclosed structure, complete with many fancy lights to illuminate anything and everything you need to see. There is no night sky. There is no darkness around. Yet, some fan who was sitting behind home plate decided to constantly have her camera flash on as she (I’m assuming) recorded the game while she was sitting in her seat.

The Los Angeles Angels, who were in town playing the Rays weren’t taking too kindly to the massive flash coming from behind the dish when they were on defense, so they asked the umpire to take care of the situation.

After a quick huddle, the umpires tracked down security who ask the oblivious fan to shut off her flash, which she did, complete with teddy bear phone case (I have got to get me one of those) and all.

I’ve seen games delayed for a lot of reasons, though, that one might be a first.

Her enthusiasm really made the video.
