Adding some depth is becoming the staple of the new coaching staff of the Arizona Cardinals, as they have added more depth today off the waiver wire by adding to the defensive line picking up nose tackle Alameda Ta’amu from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Another player with ties to Bruce Arians and should be able to quickly adapt to his system. I think that this method of adding depth in this manner is brilliant on manager Steve Keim and Coach Bruce Arians part.
Getting a good player to fill some wholes who you already know can fit your scheme is seemed to be the mark for the signings this year for the Cardinals.
Ta’amu, a fourth-round draft pick last season, was inactive for seven games and on the practice squad for six weeks last season. Should add some good competition to the injured Dan Williams, perhaps we get the absolute best out of Williams as a result.
