There probably isn’t a worse quarterback situation in the NFL right now than that of the Oakland Raiders. Even the Buffalo Bills might have a more enviable position, which says just about everything you need to know.

Both Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor have looked woeful during the preseason, so it comes with a bit of shock that the Raiders decided to cut fourth round draft pick Tyler Wilson.

Per Pro Football Talk:

"Raiders are waiving fourth-round QB Tyler Wilson, per league source."

Wilson, who was the 112th overall pick out of Arkansas struggled with mental aspects of the game, so much so that the Raiders front office and coaching staff felt he was expendable – just months after drafting him in the fourth round.

He’ll certainly attract interest on the open market and will get claimed by a team in the waiver process, which makes the move that much more head scratching.

A two year starter at Arkansas, Wilson was a four star recruit who tossed 45 touchdown’s in 24 career college starts.
