With the NFL preseason now over and teams effectively in waiting mode, what better to do than throw a party?

That was the thought of the Washington Redskins, who according to DC Sports Bog decided to hold a ‘island themed’ party to celebrate those who made the 53-man roster.

While some like Robert Griffin III did their best to play it cool and attended wearing a basic button down with a Hawaiian theme, others wanted to make more of an impression – say like Kirk Cousins, Ryan Kerrigan, Josh LeRibeus, Tom Compton and Adam Gettis who all dressed up as members of the Jamaican bobsled team from the movie ‘Cool Runnings’.

Shockingly, despite the awesomeness of that, it didn’t win the award for the best costume. Nope. In fact, that went to a collection of offensive lineman who had their wives/girlfriends in on the gag, dressing up as the cast of Gilligan’s Island.

I have to say, they pulled it off extremely well.

Hard to go against the Cool Runnings costumes – maybe a co-winner award should have been announced, but you couldn’t go wrong either way.

Clearly though, these guys are ready for the season to begin.
