Although Terrelle Pryor absolutely bombed his preseason audition, head coach Dennis Allen might be sticking with him come Week 1.

According to Jerry McDonald, Pryor is still practicing with the first time offense over Matt Flynn.

Per McDonald:

"Brice Butler, Sio Moore both practicing. Pryor with first group to open drills. OT Tony Pashos No. 79"

Flynn, who apparently has some soreness in his arm has been resting often, so it’s possible Pryor will get the start simply due to injury. Or, it’s possible the Raiders are just more comfortable with Pryor under center considering he gives the team multiple ways to win, unlike Flynn who, well, isn’t very good at anything.

It’s not an enviable position for anybody, except opposing NFL defenses.

First up will be the Indianapolis Colts who open the season against Oakalnd. I’m sure the defense is already licking their chops.

In all seriousness though, given Flynn’s sub-par arm (and add in the fact that it’s sore) and Pryor’s ability to at least get out of the pocket and cause disruption, it seems like the best possible move given the options.
