The New York football Giants are set to open their 2013-14 schedule on Sunday with a tough match up against the division rival Dallas Cowboys and it looks like they will have a key member of their offense at their disposal after an injury slowed him down throughout the preseason.

Wide receiver Victor Cruz returned to practice with the team and all indications show that he is back at full speed and will be able to be an impact player for the team in Week One.

From Dan Graziano, who covers the Giants for ESPN.com:

Cruz suffered a bruised heel during the preseason that resulted in him needing a walking boot and crutches, but now he has shed everything and got back on the horse to prepare for the Sunday night match up.

For fantasy owners and the New York Giants alike, this is great news heading in to the first Sunday of the regular season.
