The New England Patriots kick off their new season on Sunday with a few familiar faces missing from a season ago, but the good news is that the team has done plenty throughout camps and preseason to prove that tight end Zach Sudfeld will be able to make up for the loss of their receiving threats thanks to the emergence of the undrafted free agent.

Sudfeld has been a big surprise for the Patriots and the fact that he is able to help improve the offense with his athleticism will only boost his confidence.

When ESPN Boston was going through the final 53-man roster, they chose to call the former Nevada standout “the new move option, replacing Aaron Hernandez.

With Aaron Hernandez behind bars and Rob Gronkowski uncertain for the first few weeks of the season, it is more important to ever than ever for Sudfeld to step up. He is one of the top fantasy options at receiver for the Patriots this upcoming season.

It will be fun to see how he performs when the game matters.
