When the Pittsburgh Steelers kick off their regular season campaign against the Tennessee Titans at Heinz Field on Sunday, the team’s first-round pick — linebacker Jarvis Jones — will be coming off of the bench as part of the right linebacker rotation.

It really comes as no surprise to see Jones starting off in the back up role. After all, that is how it has been all preseason long with Jason Worilds getting the start.

However, Jones has looked great during the preseason and he has shown that he is more capable of making the big plays, so if he can continue to create impact moments during his playing time he could be placed in the starting line up sooner rather than later.

Quite frankly, it would be surprising to see Jones still out of the starting line up after the team’s Week 5 bye week. He has just been too good and will provide a boost of energy to the defensive unit.
