A pro-marijuana advocacy group has purchased a billboard near Sports Authority Field, the current home of the Denver Broncos, to lobby the NFL for a change in their marijuana policy.

The Marijuana Policy Project argues on the blue and orange billboard (the same colors as the Denver Broncos) that the NFL’s anti-marijuana policy drives players to alcohol and that the league should allow the players to use marijuana where it is legal. The state of Colorado is one of only two states in the USA—Washington being the other—where marijuana is legal for non-medical consumption. Marijuana is banned by the NFL and positive tests can lead to a four game suspension.
