The Houston Texans will probably be without safety Ed Reed in their season opener on Monday night against the San Diego Chargers. Reed has missed all of the Texans’ camp this summer and most of the off-season dealing with a hip injury.

Despite progressing well, a week one return is out of reach. Ed Reed has been known for playing through injuries and if he could possibly play you’d think he’d be on the field. The Texans don’t want him rushing back and potentially further injuring himself either.

Reed was activated from the physically unable to perform list which means he is getting closer to returning though. Week 2 could be possible.
