The Minnesota Vikings surprised the NFL world just a season ago, with a playoff appearance thanks to the impressive running of Adrian Peterson, but the Las Vegas betting odds heading in to Week 1 of the regular season show the team as the most likely NFC North contender to finish in last place.

On the flip side, the Green Bay Packers enter the year as the clear-cut favorites to take home their division crowd, while the Chicago Bears are closely behind with their new coaching staff and offense.

Surprisingly, the Detroit Lions have a decent chance to return to the promising team they once were now that the team has regrouped and reloaded themselves with talent for the new season.

Here are the odds heading in to the season for the NFC North:

Green Bay Packers 5/7
Chicago Bears 3/1
Detroit Lions 9/2
Minnesota Vikings 6/1
